What we keep, and why.

Last updated September 25, 2026

The short version

  • Lost Remedies is made by Social Cuts LLC. You can reach us at support@trylostremedies.com.
  • The answers you give the app (what’s bothering you, your medicines, conditions, allergies, what’s in your kitchen, your notes and your week) live on your phone and, while you’re signed in, in your own account so a new phone can pick up where the old one left off.
  • Only you can read your account’s data. We never sell it, and we don’t show ads or use advertising trackers.
  • Delete your account from Settings at any time. Everything stored online goes with it.

1. Who we are

Lost Remedies is an iPhone app and the website trylostremedies.com, made by Social Cuts LLC (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what information we collect when you use them, why we collect it, who else sees it, and the choices you have.

2. What we collect and why

Your account

To use the app you create an account with Sign in with Apple, Google, or a code we email you. We receive your email address and, if you sign in with Apple or Google and choose to share it, your name. Apple may give us a private relay address instead of your real one; that is fine with us. We use this to recognise your account, to restore your data on a new phone, and to email you a sign-in code when you ask for one. We only email you about your account unless you ask us for more.

Your answers

The app asks what’s bothering you, which medicines you take, any conditions and allergies, what’s in your kitchen, and your first name if you want to give it. From that it builds your week. It also keeps your daily check-in (how you felt, one tap), any note you leave about your day, which remedies you ticked off, and your settings.

This information is health-related, so we treat it with extra care:

  • It is stored on your phone.
  • While you’re signed in, a copy is stored in your own row of our database, so a new phone can restore it. Database rules mean only your account can read or change that row.
  • We use it only to build and show your plan and to answer your questions in the app.
  • We never sell it, and we never share it with advertisers or data brokers.

Questions you ask in the app

When you use Ask, or when the app writes the welcome at the top of your week, it sends your question, your first name if you gave it, the areas you chose, your medicines, conditions and allergies, and your kitchen list to our server, which uses Anthropic’s Claude model to write the answer. Anthropic processes this on our behalf and does not use it to train its models. Our server does not keep a copy of your questions; they pass through to produce the answer and the conversation stays on your phone.

If you leave a spoken note about your day, your phone turns the speech into words (Apple’s speech recognition, which may send audio to Apple to do so). The words are then sent to our server to be tidied into a short entry, the same way as a question in Ask, and the entry is kept with your check-ins. You can type a note instead.

Purchases

Apple handles payment through your Apple ID. We, and our subscription partner RevenueCat, receive a record that your membership is active, which kind it is, an anonymous purchase id, and your account id so your membership follows your account. We never see your card number.

Face ID and Touch ID

If you turn on the lock, your phone’s own system checks your face or fingerprint. The app only learns whether the check passed. We never receive biometric data of any kind.

Technical information

Like every online service, our providers keep standard server logs, such as the IP address and time of a request, which help us keep the service secure and working. The app does not contain advertising or analytics trackers. This website does not use cookies or analytics scripts.

3. Who else sees your information

We use a small number of companies to run the service. Each one works for us under an agreement that limits what it may do with your information.

CompanyWhat for
SupabaseAccounts, sign-in codes and the backup of your answers
CloudflareThe server that answers your questions, and this website
AnthropicWriting the answers in Ask and the welcome to your week
AppleSign in with Apple, payments, and the App Store
GoogleSign in with Google, only if you choose it
RevenueCatKeeping track of memberships

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for advertising. We would disclose information only if the law requires it, or to protect someone from serious harm.

4. Where it is stored

Our providers store and process information in the United States and in other countries where they operate. Wherever it is, the same rules in this policy apply.

5. How long we keep it

Your account and its backup stay until you delete your account. Deleting it in Settings removes your account and everything stored online straight away; copies in our providers’ routine backups clear within about thirty days. Your phone keeps its own copy until you delete the app or use “Start over” in Settings.

6. Your choices

  • See or change your answers at any time in Settings.
  • Sign out to stop backing up. Your week stays on your phone.
  • Delete your account from Settings. Two taps, no questions asked.
  • Turn the lock on under Settings, Privacy, so the app opens only for you.
  • Email us at support@trylostremedies.com to ask what we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted.

If you live in California, you have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it, to have it deleted, to have it corrected, and not to be treated differently for using those rights. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of. The app does not respond to “Do Not Track” signals because it does not track you in the first place.

7. Children

Lost Remedies is for adults. It is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.

8. Not a doctor

We are not a doctor’s office, a pharmacy or a health plan, and the app is not a medical service. Health privacy laws that apply to those, such as HIPAA in the United States, do not apply to Lost Remedies. We keep your information private because it is the right thing to do, not because a hospital rule tells us to. Nothing in the app is medical advice.

9. Security

Information travels between the app and our servers over encrypted connections. Your backup can only be read by your own account. You can add the Face ID lock for the phone itself. No system is perfect, and if you think something is wrong, please tell us.

10. Changes

If we change this policy we will post the new version here with a new date, and tell you in the app if the change matters to you.
